Guys. I completely forgot to tell you about something that's happened to me recently that's..well....it's kind of a big deal...

Full story: Last month, I gathered up my courage and audition for the big guys. That's right, for the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Now, they are an extremely amazing professional company up here in Boston. Sure, I knew I wouldn't get in. But I wanted to be seen.

I bring my dinky little resume and headshot to the Boston Center for the Arts, and do the best I can. The director, cool as a cucumber says: 'Thanks and great work, unfortunately, it's hard to cast actors around your age group*' Which I COMPLETELY understand. I am so thrilled just to be seen. BUT!!! BUT, but but but! The director told me after my monologues (Julia, Two Gentlemen of Verona & Carla, Kennedy's Children) that he really liked them and he wanted me to apply for their Apprentice Program. EEE! And so I did.
And...I got in!
I got a wonderful email from the director of the program yesterday offering my acceptance into the program, and I am beyond excited! I get to spend my summer in class/rehearsal from 9:00-5:00 almost EVERY DAY! I'll be taking acting classes, voice and movement workshops and master classes with great guest directors, even performances of work! I will be involved with the Program for the Summer (They're doing All's Well that Ends Well for the main stage). The apprentices (as we are called) will be working backstage, onstage, and front of house for the main Program! Sometimes playing to an audience of  as many as 10,000!!!
Guys, I am so excited and thrilled to be in class, if only for a summer again! Be sure that I will be CONSTANTLY blogging about it.
Now to find something to support myself while basically all my days will be devoted to this in the summer! :)
All the best,
Micah
